Placerville Event: Acorn Creek Trailhead Workday with ARC!
Join ARC Stewardship staff and fellow volunteers to help maintain our newly opened multi-use public trail, Acorn Creek Trailhead, located 3/4 mile North of Salmon Falls Bridge. This trail is a little over 1 mile long and connects to the South Fork American River Trail. As a multi-use trail, it was designed with equestrians, mountain bikers, families and hikers in mind. Along with maintaining vegetation and reworking trail paths, staff and volunteers are working to plant and recruit young native oak seedlings in order to create a large oak woodland between the trail and the parking area.
$5 parking fee is waived for volunteers while workday is in place.
