Food Bank of El Dorado County’s Annual Holiday Outreach – December 16
The Food Bank of El Dorado County’s Annual Holiday Outreach is a favorite event every year in El Dorado County. Teamed with hundreds of caring Individuals, Families, Businesses, Service Clubs, Faith based Groups and more, the community comes together in one common cause – procuring and providing all the fixins for a Holiday meal to over 1,000 local families that might otherwise go without at Christmas!
The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Departments Star Volunteer Program will also get involved by delivering meals to homebound residents in communities throughout El Dorado County. Add in a special delivery to at risk Veterans by VFW 10165 Camerado Post and you have a massive collaborative outpouring of compassion and good will right here in our own back yards.
Christmas means many different things to many different people. Here at the Food Bank it’s a time to recognize just how fortunate we really are and help out our less fortunate neighbors that struggle daily to make ends meet.
Local at risk Children have a lot to worry about during the Holidays, Christmas dinner should not be one of them.
No pre-registration require. Eligible individuals just need to come to the Food Bank's distribution center at your allotted time based on the first letter of your last name.
