Authentic barbecue, delicious spaghetti and charity abound at this year’s Spaghetti Western. Hosted at Cooper Vineyards in Plymouth and in its eighth year, the event is set for Saturday, June 20, at 6 p.m. and aims to raise funds for cancer research grants at the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Sponsored by the Amador Cancer Research Foundation, the Spaghetti Western will feature dinner, a live and silent auction, live music and dancing. Guests can purchase wine, beer and soda; water bottles will be provided at no cost.
“Many locals come, [and] it’s a very fun evening...[plus], you’re donating to a cause that affects all of us,” explains Amador Cancer Research Foundation Board Member, Cathy Landgraf.
This year, highlights from the all-volunteer event include draft beer from Amador Brewing Company, live music from Dick Cooper’s Country Western Band, and Teo Torres from KCRA 3 as emcee. Tickets are $40 for adults and $10 for children.
