Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?
The Davies Family Inn at Shadowridge Ranch is a bed and breakfast with a strikingly charming events facility. We found this property in the early ‘90s and were impressed by its history, beauty and serene setting. The log cabins surrounding the spring-fed meadow are accented with fruit trees, lilac bushes and flowers of all kinds. Honeybees and hummingbirds add a busy sound to the tranquility of the place, while robins and chickadees sing to identify their special place in the pines and oaks framing the scene. The place seemed to call out for attention and for us to share it with guests who could appreciate this quiet uniqueness in a hectic world. Soon, family gatherings, weddings and corporate picnics were taking place in the meadow and under the pines in the wooded glen. Now, the sound of laughter and song fill warm summer evenings, where miners once toiled to extract yellow metal and farmers grew food for their family and friends. The land calls to us and makes us smile with its beauty, bounty and blessings.
