Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

Painting murals is my passion – for children, residential and commercial. I also offer painted lettering for business logos, phrases and embellishments. From talking about the design concept to bringing it to life: “Your walls are my canvas!” I think an artist is born loving art. I am very fortunate to call it my business.

How are you involved with both the community and your customer?

Special projects that I have worked on recently include painting an outside wall of the Share Food Closet in Placerville, and a children’s nursery at Church of the Foothills in Cameron Park.

What life accomplishments are you most proud of?

Raising my two sons, and having a happy 25-year-plus marriage.

Who is your role model in business or in life, and why?

My dad used to say, “Do a good job, or don’t do it at all.” I think I got my good work ethic from him at an early age.

What’s your hidden talent?

Singing is a joy for me. I sang with the Stockton Chorale for over 10 years – going on two European tours – before moving to Placerville.

What’s your biggest job perk?

Instant gratification. A completed “princess” themed room with a happy little girl gives me motivation to go on to the next job...maybe even a jungle.

What’s your favorite place to eat out locally?

The Pizza Factory on Broadway in Placerville. It is a family favorite for us with their tasty, hand-tossed dough and great toppings.

Where do you and your family go locally to have fun?

My husband and I enjoy driving through the foothills, visiting local wineries or the Apple Hill farms.

If you could be any other profession, what would it be?

I would have been a really good chocolate chip cookie taster, but you can’t really make a living doing that.

And finally, customer service is…?

Listening to the desires of your client, being at the job site at the agreed upon time, and putting “heart and soul” into your work.
