This critically praised but little seen film about the post-war struggles of a Vietnam veteran and his niece, whose father was killed in combat, stars Bruce Willis with a powerful but subtle performance showcasing his dramatic chops, and hinting that mega-stardom for the versatile actor was all but inevitable.
Kevin Bacon stars in this thoughtful, emotional and highly recommended film about a veteran military officer who voluntarily escorts the remains of Lance Corporal Chance Phelps, who dies in Iraq, back home. Bacon’s restrained and quiet performance redefines heroism and makes this film a journey well worth taking.
