We hope our annual pet issue will inspire you to take a moment or two for the animals, whether it’s your own pet or local wildlife! One way to get involved is by volunteering at Sierra Wildlife Rescue in El Dorado. The Baby Bird Nursery is accepting volunteer applicants for any of three daily shifts (four hours each, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.) until August 15. Feed your green thumb with a free class from El Dorado County Gardeners.
